Shared and Interactive Writing engages students in the writing process as well as to continue thinking about what it means to think and read as a writer. In this session, the presenters will offer specific strategies used in shared and interactive writing that have provided a powerful scaffold for student growth as writers. These strategies have significantly influenced student learning, by first allowing students to practice with teacher support, and then apply their learning independently in writing workshop. A continuum of K-1 writing skills, and how these skills are woven into shared and interactive writing, will also be shared. MB-S18261
